CORRIGENDUM NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 9th March, 2021
(Case No-AD (OI) 01/2021)
Subject: Initiation of anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of Melamine originating in or exported from the European Union, Japan, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
F. No. 6/1/2021 – DGTR.—Having regard to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, as amended from time to time and the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-Dumping Duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995, as amended from time to time, thereof, the Designated Authority hereby makes the following correction in the initiation notification issued vide Notification No. 6/l/2021-DGTR dated 26th February 2021, in respect of the subject original anti-dumping Investigation.
2. The paragraph 16 of the said notification shall be substituted to read as under:
16. A longer period of investigation is appropriate in the present investigation since trade in the first and second quarter of 2020-21 was impacted by Covid-19. A longer period would be more appropriate to assess the injury to the domestic industry caused due to the alleged dumped imports. In view of the above, period of investigation (POI) adopted by the Authority for the present investigation is 1st April 2019 to 30th September 2020 and the injury period will cover the period of 1st April 2016 – 31st March 2017; 1st April 2017 – 31st March 2018; 1st April 2018 – 31st March 2019 and the period of investigation.”
