KRAFTON, INC., a prominent South Korean gaming company known for creating popular games like BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India), has announced its plans to invest $150 million in India over the next two to three years. This investment is aimed at nurturing local talent, promoting innovation, and positioning India as a significant player in the global gaming industry.
KRAFTON’s approach to India is centered around fostering a thriving gaming and startup ecosystem. The company has been committed to this vision since its first investment in March 2021, during which it injected around $140 million into 11 innovative startups.

KRAFTON’s investments span various sectors including esports, multimedia entertainment, content creation, audio platforms, the creator economy, and deep tech. The company has already invested over $140 million in various startups since 2021 and intends to continue building a dynamic and evolving portfolio across different segments in India. Founded in 2007, KRAFTON comprises various studios and subsidiaries, each contributing to the creation of immersive gaming experiences. Beyond BGMI, the company has launched other gaming titles such as The Callisto Protocol, Road To Valor: Empires, and Defense Derby in the past year.
